Program & Curriculum
WHAT WE BELIEVE
At Shiloh School of Worship, we believe that all true learning begins with a reverence for God. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom" (Proverbs 9:10), and from this foundation flows every lesson, every discovery, and every act of creativity.
Learning at Shiloh is not simply the pursuit of knowledge, but the cultivation of character and calling. We see education as worship; an offering of the mind, heart, and hands to the One who created them. Our classrooms are places where faith and academics are not separate, but beautifully intertwined. We study God's Word alongside mathematics, science, language, and the arts, discovering His truth in all things.
We believe children learn best in an atmosphere of peace, purpose, and presence; where curiosity is encouraged, mistakes are viewed as opportunities for growth, and every child's God-given gifts are nurtured. Teachers are not just instructors, but disciples and mentors, guiding students to think critically, walk humbly, and love deeply.
Our approach to learning values the whole child; spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and physical. We aim to develop lifelong learners who seek wisdom, act with compassion, and walk in obedience to God's voice.
At Shiloh, education is more than preparation for the future; it is participation in God's Kingdom today. As we learn together, we grow in faith, build strong families, and live out our purpose to glorify God in all that we do.
HOW WE WORSHIP
At Shiloh, our curriculum is rooted in worship, Bible study, and prayer. Students learn how to pray, study God's Word, and sing songs of praise and worship. Each school day begins with a special time dedicated to the Lord-reading Scripture, praying together, and lifting our voices in worship.
We hold to the truth of Deuteronomy 6:6-7 (NIV):
"These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up."
At Shiloh, we cultivate hearts that know, love, and serve the Lord.
WHAT WE STUDY
At Shiloh, we provide a strong academic foundation through Christ-centered, high-quality instruction. Our English Language Arts program includes phonics, reading, writing, spelling, cursive and grammar using All About Reading, All About Spelling, Fix It! Grammar, New American Penmanship and Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW).
Mathematics is taught through the Saxon Math curriculum, emphasizing mastery and problem-solving skills. We will learn of God's creation with Apologia Science, and learn biblical history through The Mystery of History.
Geography is studied with Memoria Press Geography, helping students understand God's world and its people.
In addition, we encourage a love for reading with our Diverse Book List Collection for at-home reading, celebrating a variety of voices, cultures, and stories that reflect God's creativity and truth.
SHILOH EXPERIENCE
Shiloh offers an independent educational experience that is committed to growing in the faith, learning from a place rest, in small class sizes rooted in close knit community of families.
We meet three days a week-Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Our school year begins after Labor Day on Tuesday, September 8th, and concludes on Thursday, May 20th. This schedule provides families with a balanced rhythm of structured learning and time at home, supporting both academic growth and family life.
In addition, Shiloh offers a monthly field trip that connects classroom learning to real-world experiences. These trips encourage students to explore God's creation, serve their community, and see His hand at work in everyday life.
